Triticum aestivum
Heritage Estonian Red Winter Wheat named for the Širvinta River in Lithuania. Awnless and hardy to zone 5. Complex nutty flavor, excellent for sourdough. Growing a winter wheat makes the most of your garden space as it allows for a second crop to be planted after its early harvest. Consider partnering with a planting of your favorite fall veggies!
