What is a Seed CSA and how does it work?

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. As a CSA member you receive a discount on 12 varieties from our seed shop. Your investment helps to maintain a thriving and sustainable web of local agriculture!

It is our vision and mission to supply our communities with locally grown seed that is adapted and selected to our changing climate. Many of the varieties you will receive are rare and hard to find and all of our varieties are carefully chosen for their outstanding qualities.

We have two CSA options. “Farm Favorites” and “U-Pick”

Farm Favorites Share

We have selected 12 of our most treasured spring and summer garden varieties. This diverse collection of resilient vegetables will feed your family and friends all summer long. We have included the tried and true staple varieties from our own family garden and know they will perform well for you!

Honeynut Winter Squash: 110 days // Delightful mini butternuts with the sugary sweetness and consistency of buttercup!

Tromboncino Summer Squash: 65 days // Italian heirloom butternut selected to be eaten in the summer squash stage. Exquisite and unique forms!

Suyo Cucumber Mix: 65 days. // Beautiful and delicious Chinese heirloom, disease resistant.

Honey Drop Cherry Tomato: 65 // Bi-colored (red and yellow) cherries that are super sweet and tangy, high-yielding and disease resistant.

Doe Hill Orange Sweet Pepper: 60 days. // Early maturing, high yielding sweet orange pepper.

Head Lettuce Mix: 60 days. // A mix of our favorite resilient lettuces.

Madeley Kale: 55 days. // Outrageously productive all season long, heat tolerant, cold tolerant, resilient plants, sweet, tender and delicious.

Piracicaba Multi-Cut Broccoli: 75 days. // Delicious broccoli florets all season long, productive, heat tolerant, disease resistant.

Dragon Tongue Mustard Greens: 40 days // Ruffly green and purple variegated leaves. Tender and sweet with a hint of spice.

Rucola Selvatica (Sylvetta) Perennial Arugula: 50 days // Spicy wild Italian arugula that will come back year after year!

Kaleidoscope Bush Bean Quartet: 60 days. // Purple, yellow, scarlet and green Romano snap bean mix. Gorgeous, tasty, abundant.

Mammoth Sunflower: 70 days // 12 foot towering sunflowers are always an enchanting addition to the garden. Confection variety for edible seeds!

U-Pick Share

You, the grower, will select any 12 varieties we have available in the shop. When you purchase the U-Pick Share we will reach out to you via email and ask you to provide us with your 12 choices. You are welcome to choose multiples of a single variety if you would like! Contact Us with any questions.
