Phaseolus vulgaris
A mix of three colorful Romano-type snap pole beans including: “Nor'easter” (green), “Malvaglia” (yellow) and a Bhoomi Devi original selection “Gigante Violetto” (purple). Romano beans are very long and broad and are traditionally eaten in the snap bean stage but also can be enjoyed as shelling beans and even as a dry bean. As snap beans they are sweet, buttery and refreshingly juicy. Highly productive plants producing pods that get up to 8-10" long and remain succulent even as they begin to develop seed. Picking often will reward you with a heavy and elongated harvest. Pole beans yield much more than their bush counterparts and companion well with many other crops. Enjoy this colorful harvest!
