Pisum sativum

A wonderfully early maturing and high yielding snap pea bred by Dr. Jim Baggett at Oregon State University. Cascadia has a longer and more sustained harvest than most peas— which means more peas! 36 inch tall plants require a trellis. Resistant to pea enation mosaic virus, fusarium wilt and powdery mildew.

Growing Information:

Direct seed only. Sow any time soil can be worked up all the way until late spring.

Sow Peas 1 to 2 inches apart in a double row.

Plant the double row 8 inches apart and run a trellis down the middle of the rows for peas to climb on.

Multiple double row should be spaced 3 to 4 feet apart.

Harvest:

Harvest when pods are nice and plump before seeds develop.
